Introduction
In the upcoming months, Tata Motors is set to launch one of its most highly anticipated new models, the Tata Nexon Facelift. Expected to be launched by September 2023, we now have fresh details about its extensive trim lineup and some standout features.
Expanded Trim Lineup for Tata Nexon Facelift
The Nexon Facelift will offer an impressive array of more than 10 trims, a departure from the current naming conventions (XE, XM, XM+, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux). Instead, Tata Motors will be adopting punchy names for the lineup, including trims like Pure and Creative.
Special Editions to Follow
While the initial launch of the Nexon Facelift will feature the main trims, there are plans to introduce special editions like the Dark Edition and Jet Edition in subsequent phases. These special variants are expected to maintain their popularity, especially among Tata’s SUV lineup, which frequently contributes more than 15% of total model sales.
Key Features Unveiled
The Nexon has been a strong contender in the sub-compact SUV segment, but it’s been observed that it falls slightly short in terms of features when compared to competitors like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and even the Maruti Brezza. However, the Nexon Facelift is poised to bridge that gap with its enhanced features.
Spy shots have already provided a glimpse of the Nexon Facelift’s updated features, including a new 10.25-inch touchscreen, a cutting-edge 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and an entirely new two-spoke steering wheel featuring a backlit Tata logo. Additionally, advanced features such as sequential turn indicators, a high-definition 360-degree camera, and front parking sensors (a unique feature for the segment) will be introduced.
Enhanced Safety and Comfort
Safety remains a priority, as all trims will come equipped with six airbags. The Nexon Facelift will also showcase LED DRLs and LED headlamps with multi-drive modes. Higher-tier trims will boast Tata’s newly patented touch-based HVAC control panel, wireless charging capability, premium perforated upholstery, ventilated seats, and a distinctive LED DRL welcome signature. Similar to the existing Nexon, entry-level trims will feature a single-pane sunroof.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Nexon Facelift as we anticipate further details before its official launch.
